Partners in Production

& Operations

Over the last decade, I have been proud to support the missions of Rhode Island’s leading nonprofits, cultural institutions, and creative enterprises.

Whether managing large-scale festival logistics or streamlining back-office finances, my work is defined by the incredible organizations I’ve had the privilege to join.
A Decade of Operational & Production Excellence

Since 2014, I have served as a foundational leader for newportFILM, a nationally recognized year-round documentary film organization. My role has evolved from a decade-long tenure as a W2 Director of Operations to my current capacity as a Business Management Consultant.

Over the last 10 years, I have been the primary architect of the organization's technical and operational infrastructure. I transitioned newportFILM from a startup-level organization with no hardware into a professional-grade production powerhouse capable of hosting world-class events for audiences of over 5,000. My work bridges the gap between high-stakes financial stewardship—managing audits, payroll, and complex studio security—and the technical engineering required to execute large-scale outdoor cinema. From securing complex technical activations to navigating the security protocols of major Hollywood studios like Apple, Netflix, and Disney, I ensure that every aspect of the organization’s mission is supported by a secure, professional, and fiscally sound foundation.

Key Ares of Work:
Technical Engineering & Infrastructure

Building professional-grade AV infrastructure for audiences of 5,000+.

I engineered newportFILM’s technical evolution, building a sophisticated, professional-grade AV inventory from the ground up. I served as the primary Sound, Video, and Electrical Engineer for every scale of production, including the 2023 'Water Brother' screening at Fort Adams—one of Newport’s largest recent events with over 5,000 attendees. My work ensures seamless execution through complex power distribution, signal routing, and technical management in challenging outdoor environments. I also spearheaded the acquisition of critical site infrastructure, including generators, industrial cable ramps, and safety systems to professionalize the event footprint.

Global Studio Relations & Secure Media Logistics

Trusted partner for Security Protocols with Major Film Studios

I act as the secure bridge between major film studios and our local screens. By coordinating directly with security and technical teams at Apple, Amazon, Disney/Searchlight, and Netflix, I manage the secure transfer of high-stakes, pre-release media. This rigorous attention to security protocols has built long-term industry trust, allowing newportFILM access to the world’s newest and most prestigious documentaries. Additionally, I built and managed the organization’s virtual screening infrastructure via CineSend, maintaining accessibility throughout the pandemic and beyond, ensuring a seamless digital experience for a global audience.

Risk Management, Insurance & Public Safety

Navigating municipal compliance and high-level safety activations.

Professional events require a safe, reliable foundation. I lead the advocacy for site safety, managing on-site medical protocols, security staffing, and municipal safety activations for every event. I manage the organization’s complex insurance portfolio with Starkweather & Shepley, optimizing coverage for large-scale public gatherings while maintaining strict budget discipline. My role involves managing all local, state, and federal filings—including event permits, raffle licenses, and liquor liability—ensuring that every high-impact event is fully compliant and the organization is protected from liability.

Business Management & Financial Stewardship

Managing the 'Back of House'—from audits and insurance to payroll and donor tracking

As the organization's Business Management Consultant, I oversee the financial and administrative health of newportFILM. I manage all QuickBooks operations, ADP payroll, and fringe benefits, while ensuring the donor CRM remains accurate for tracking high-volume grants and donations. I serve as the lead point of contact for the organization’s annual self-audit, working closely with external CPA firms to maintain flawless financial records. By managing vendor COIs and daily accounts payable/receivable, I handle the essential 'unseen' work that allows the creative mission of the organization to thrive sustainably

Leadership & Community Building

As a Founding Board Member of the New England Music Organization, I play a central role in fostering Rhode Island’s vibrant local music scene. My work includes the end-to-end production of the NEE Jam, a twice-monthly community initiative, as well as providing technical production and booking expertise for major local milestones like NIMFest and the Broadway Street Fair. By bridging the gap between talent booking and operational logistics, I help create sustainable platforms for artists and high-impact cultural experiences for the community.

Creative Direction & Donor Stewardship

Since 2017, I have served as a technical and creative partner for the Star Kids Scholarship Program annual gala. I specialize in designing complex, multi-screen video environments that serve as the heartbeat of the event's fundraising efforts. These custom-themed productions are critical to donor recognition and sponsorship activation, requiring meticulous attention to detail to ensure every supporter is accurately represented across multiple rooms and displays. Beyond the screen, I coordinate with board leadership to consult on event design, musical talent, and end-to-end technical production—all in support of providing life-changing educational opportunities for youth in the Newport and Fall River communities.

AV System Design & Consultation for Historic Venues

In 2025, I consulted with the Newport Restoration Foundation at Rough Point to resolve a long-standing logistical challenge on their event stage. The venue was hampered by an immobile, large-scale commercial display that restricted stage versatility. I designed and implemented a modular projection system featuring an auto-orienting projector and a strikeable screen, allowing the organization to reclaim their stage for diverse programming. Beyond hardware installation, I provided strategic consultation on their existing Crestron infrastructure, identifying cost-effective ways to expand their multi-room audio and video capabilities. My work with NRF demonstrates my ability to audit complex, legacy systems and provide honest, high-impact solutions that respect both the budget and the physical constraints of historic properties.
