About
Brendan Keogh is a multi-genre musician and community arts organizer whose performance career spans nearly two decades. With a Minor in Music from the University of Vermont and a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from the Savannah College of Art & Design, Brendan blends musicianship, production experience, and arts leadership into every project he takes on.
Brendan began performing in Vermont in 2006, playing in both original and cover bands throughout the region. His primary project during this time was Dr. Ruckus, an eight-piece funk band known for high-energy shows and tight horn arrangements. He also collaborated with a wide mix of artists in projects such as Dead Set, Family Night Jam Session, The Bounce Lab, and others. Offstage, he worked behind the scenes in festival hospitality and stage production for events including the Savannah Music Festival, Lockn' Music Festival, and Mountain Jam, and served as promotion and marketing assistant at the legendary Nectar’s in Burlington.
From 2013 to 2014, Brendan lived in Savannah, GA, performing with local blues, rock, and instrumental groups while completing his graduate degree.

Since 2015, Brendan has been an active member of the Newport, RI music community. He spent five years performing Latin and Latin jazz music with Julio Amaro at Perro Salado and other venues, and later co-founded FuturePhase alongside Chris Vaillancourt, Tim Lee, and Chelsea Ambrose. His commitment to strengthening the local arts scene led him to serve on the board of the Newport Performing Arts Center (2021–2023) and to co-found both the New England Music Organization and North End Entertainment, producing concerts and opportunities for regional and local musicians.

Brendan is also a co-founder and host of The NEE Jam at the Firehouse Theater, a twice-monthly community jam session that brings together musicians across genres and experience levels. As a performer, he is currently active with Chelley Knight & The Dope Things, appearing at venues and festivals throughout Rhode Island—including standout 2025 performances at The Landing, the Ragged Island Music Festival, and more. In 2025 he also performed with Atticus Allen & Co. on the NEMO Stage at the Broadway Street Fair and at Cisco Brewery Nantucket.
Available for hire for special events, private functions, and weddings, Brendan has recently performed at high-profile engagements including the Tennis Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony with Erika Van Pelt. He also performs with the Rhode Island cover band Motion Avenue.
